racking phone response to advertisements is very easy but does require discipline. After all, all you need to do is ask each caller where they saw your number. The problem is the caller may say in the newspaper but can't remember which one, which isn't very helpful if you have several adverts running in newspapers at the same time.

In days past when I spent substantial sums on newspaper and Yellow Pages advertising, I would give my phone number in the advertisement and tell callers to ask for Sue Green. Each advert had a different name, so whoever answered the phone new what the caller wanted and could respond accordingly.

This simple system was great for making sure that each caller was handled quickly and courteously but did have one big drawback. When things got busy it was all too easy to forget to log each call.

Now I've discovered an easy and simple way to ensure I know exactly how much response each advertisement has received.
